Hi My name is Rex. I live on Salt Spring Island which is in the Gulf Islands on the west coast of Canada. I do not have my Salt Spring Island Real Estate license but I do have my dog license. I actually have two jobs I work part time as head of farm security and as a part time gulf island real estate assistant.

You could say I have my nose to the ground when it comes to Gulf Island Real Estate. I have a network of dogs I keep in close contact with through P-mail. We meet at the local hang outs and talk about our "masters" ( I prefer to call them "two legs"). I usualy know about any Salt Spring Island homes for sale before any two legs do.

My family comes from Scotland (I have many famous cousins like Barney who lives in the white house) and has been on the islands for over 100 years. I always look forward to meeting new friends to hang with. There are some great trails and beaches to walk on. That is if I get a break from farm security. With all the eagles, ravens, crows, dear and bunnies to bark at and chase I hardly have time to take off for a hike.

Yes for all you city dogs thinking of moving here well you are in for a treat. The smells at the beach are to die for there are clams, oysters and who knows what but its so much fun. I'm a lucky dog I can walk out side year round. Once last year we even had this white stuff on the ground it was fun for a day but think it could get old fast. Is it true that it stays for months in some places.

The best days are when my "two legs" take me on the sail boat for the day. The life jacket is something I don't want my friends to see. Scotties are not known for our swimming expertise. The places we have gone on that boat are amazing. In half and hour we can be at a deserted island that has no P-mail. It is so cool to mark

a whole island.

That is why I have a Gulf Island web page (not just a Salt Spring web page) I am always game to go to any of the Gulf islands. It is great fun exploring all the places and meeting new friends. Last year I went to look at Saturna Island real estate, Galiano Island real estate, Thetis Island real estate, Pender Island real estate, Prevost Island real estate and Mayne Island real estate.

Did I mention I have gone kayaking and canoing on the island lakes. Some times we just sit and wait for my two leg to pull the long stick and string out of the water. For some reason once in a while he gets fish on the string. Man are they great I luv to roll in them. Usually the two legs make me sleep in the mud room...hum I luv that smell. Those strange two legs just cant figure them out sometimes.

Now what has all this to do with real estate? Well I listen and have learn a thing or two from the two legs. All dogs need a home and that is what we do. We find homes for dogs and of course the two legs can live in your house. So if you are thinking of moving to the Gulf Islands with your two legs let me introduce you to my two leg his name is Scott Simmons. Same last name as mine.

Now you don't just want to call him he will talk your ear off. He can go on for hours on about Salt Spring or any of the gulf Islands. Let me warn you to that he likes to talk. 

I guess it comes down to what do you want from your REALTOR®. As a dog I like ones with thick ankles (easier to bite). The good news is Scott is actually pretty easy going and a good listener. He like to work with only a few customers at a time so he can get to know them as well as two legs do. They don't seen to sniff! just cant figure those two legs out some time.
